Market research

Mott MacDonald are leading social/market research providers, with considerable experience and offering a wide range of services including:
  • Managing Citizen Panels for local authorities, currently running citizen panels for six local authorities;
  • Conducting interview surveys on street, at home and on public transport;
  • Design, implementation and analysis of online/web-based surveys;
  • Mystery shopping surveys;
  • Product testing surveys; and
  • Organising and facilitating focus groups.
Projects include:
  • A number of web-based surveys, including:
  1. ‘Be StreetSafe’ School internet survey;
  2. M2 Readership survey
  3. ESF Training Course Survey.
  • Electronic Voting (IML) Presentations – in partnership with the Safer Merseyside Partnership, the team is leading the way in electronic voting consultation – a pioneering way of removing barriers between clients and target audiences.
  • Citizen Panels – on behalf of the five councils in Merseyside, Merseyside Police and a number of Primary Care Trusts, co-ordinating citizens’ panels, conducting advanced statistical analysis and benchmarking, including a dedicated transport section on an annual basis.
  • Focus Group Facilitation – recruitment of participants, design of discussion guides, moderation of groups and reporting in a number of areas including public and service user groups.
  • Best Value Surveys – carrying out and co-ordinating a number of National Best Value Surveys on behalf of several local authorities.
  • Merseyside Countywide Travel Survey – carrying out a major household survey on transport usage patterns within the county for the local authorities.
